Dear Member,

Welcome to IgAN Friends: A community of people who share the IgA Nephropathy (IgAN) journey. Together, we are creating a space of support, exchange, understanding, and empowerment, and with each new member, we’re excited to bring new perspectives to the table.

 

What is IgAN Friends?

IgAN Friends, which started its journey in November 2024, is the fruit of a collaboration between the European Kidney Patients’ Federation (EKPF) and the European Reference Network for Rare Kidney Diseases (ERKNet).

Our mission is to build a strong community of voices and experiences to empower people living with IgAN throughout Europe.

Our members come from across Europe, fostering an exchange of diverse insights and experiences. Here, you’ll find a community of people who genuinely understand your experience and are ready to support each other every step of the way. A community that, thanks to you, is growing bigger and stronger.

 

What can you expect from IgAN Friends?

IgAN Friends membership comes with the opportunity to access, share and exchange information and experiences and, soon, to engage directly with other community members, including in events across Europe.

In short, you now have access to:

• A wealth of resources: our website acts as the community’s main information hub. Here you can find materials, stories and information in five different languages (English, Spanish, Italian, French, and German) along with all there is to know about IgAN Friends.
• Engagement opportunities: learn and share your experiences with other community members to develop a broader vision for the group, find answers to your questions, and act for change.
• Dedicated news and updates: we will periodically share developments from across Europe along with stories from other members directly to your inbox.
• A support Network: IgAN Friends can be a place for you to find comfort and encouragement within a caring, supportive community.
